Ace Combat 8 SteelBook / Multi-Steel Case Contents

Quick answer

Japan-only collector tiers on the official Enso Order store include the Collector’s BOX (Japan official store) with a multi-steel case (often called a SteelBook-style multi-steel case online) and the higher Ace of Aces BOX. The Western Bandai Namco store’s Joker Flight Pack (vinyl + artbook) is not the same product. No confirmed Western retail SteelBook SKU appeared in official US Bandai store listings we track — see editions comparison.

Japan Collector’s BOX (Japan official store)

The Ace Combat 8 Collector’s BOX is a PS5-focused Japan official bundle (Enso Order / Bandai Namco JP channels). Typical contents listed on the official product page:

  • ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE (PS5 game)
  • ACES at WAR: A HISTORY 2029 art book
  • Multi-steel case — premium SteelBook-style steel packaging often discussed as an Ace Combat 8 SteelBook online
  • Original soundtrack on USB — see also our soundtrack & vinyl guide
  • Joker Squadron stickers
  • Cosmetic set (Deluxe-class digital extras)
  • Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher

Shipping / street date: Official JP listings have advertised early ship around September 29, 2026 for this physical tier — ahead of the global October 2, 2026 standard launch. Availability fluctuates; the official JP store has often shown sold out on this SKU.

Ace of Aces BOX

The Ace of Aces BOX is the top Japan collector tier (listed around ¥36,000 on official materials). It includes everything in the Collector’s BOX, plus:

  • 30th anniversary pins set
  • Dog tags (merchandise set)

Platform options on the official JP product page include PS5 and Steam variants depending on listing. Like the Collector’s BOX, this tier has frequently appeared sold out on Bandai Namco’s official JP product pages.

Western Bandai store — do not conflate SKUs

Outside Japan, Bandai Namco’s Western storefronts emphasize Standard, Deluxe, and Joker Flight Pack bundles (physical vinyl + artbook where offered) — not the JP Collector’s BOX with multi-steel case. Searching ace combat 8 steelbook or collectors box often mixes fan resale listings with these different SKUs.

  • Bandai EU “All You Need To Know” materials describe physical Standard/Deluxe discs on PS5/Xbox depending on country, with the October 2, 2026 launch window.
  • Bandai US store listings checked: Standard, Deluxe, and Joker Flight Pack — no SteelBook / JP Collector’s BOX SKU in those official US store menus.
  • Joker Flight Pack (West) ≈ Deluxe software + vinyl/artbook merch — compare on editions, not as a substitute for JP steel-case bundles.

Release timing: JP collector physical vs global launch

Digital Deluxe early access (Sep 28–29 license unlock, timezone-dependent) is separate from JP collector box physical shipping (~Sep 29 early delivery on official JP copy). Global Standard/Deluxe digital and most Western physical discs align with October 2, 2026. Full clocks: release date & unlock times · buy paths: price & storefronts.

FAQ

Does Ace Combat 8 have an official SteelBook?

Japan’s official Collector’s BOX includes a multi-steel case (SteelBook-style). Western official Bandai US store listings we checked do not list an equivalent SteelBook SKU — only Standard/Deluxe/Joker Flight Pack.

What is in the Ace Combat 8 Collector’s BOX?

PS5 game, ACES at WAR: A HISTORY 2029, multi-steel case, soundtrack USB, Joker stickers, cosmetic set, and Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher per official JP product pages.

Collector’s BOX vs Ace of Aces BOX?

Ace of Aces adds 30th anniversary pins and dog tags on top of Collector’s BOX contents; it is the higher JP price tier (~¥36,000).

Is the Joker Flight Pack the same as the JP Collector’s BOX?

No. Western Joker Flight Pack bundles focus on vinyl/artbook-style collectibles with Deluxe software. The JP Collector’s BOX is a different SKU with the multi-steel case and USB soundtrack layout.
