Ace Combat 8 early access is a 3-day head start for Digital Deluxe, Joker Flight Pack, and Premium Joker Flight Pack. It starts around Sep 28 (Americas) / Sep 29 00:00 CEST. Buying Deluxe after October 2 still includes Deluxe extras — but not the early-access window.

What Ace Combat 8 early access is
Early access is Bandai Namco’s paid head-start for premium editions of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. It is not a beta and not a separate build label for Standard owners. Eligible players unlock the full game early, including online services timed with that window.
Who qualifies for early access?
- ACE COMBAT 8 Digital Deluxe Edition — all platforms where sold
- Joker Flight Pack — Bandai Namco Store collector bundle (includes Deluxe content)
- Premium Joker Flight Pack — higher collector tier with extra merch
Standard Edition does not include early access, even with preorder bonuses (F-14A + Ace Combat Zero).
When early access starts
Official EU framing often lists 29 September 2026, 00:00 CEST. US schedules commonly show 28 September 2026, 3:00 PM PDT. Same moment, different calendar dates. See the timezone table on release date & unlock times.
If you digitally purchase Deluxe during the early-access window (before Oct 2), Bandai states you receive a copy already unlocked for EA.
What you can play during early access
- Campaign / single-player content available at that build
- Ace Combat Online servers for eligible EA players
- Progression you start in EA carries into the full launch (treat saves as live)
Early access vs Deluxe after launch
Deluxe remains available after October 2 with cosmetics and the Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher. Official FAQ: post-launch Deluxe does not restore the three-day early access bonus. If early play is your only reason to upgrade, buy before the window ends.
How to redeem / start playing
- Own an eligible digital entitlement (or activate a qualifying disc/code).
- Install / preload on PS5, Xbox Series, or Steam.
- At the EA unlock time, launch from your library — no separate “EA app” required beyond the game itself.
- Keep the console/PC online for license checks and Online features.
